What’s Ahead for Firecrackers Leles in 2026–2027

Firecrackers Leles: Building the Future (2026–2027 Vision)

A Conversation with Jenae Leles and Thomas Neal

As Firecrackers Leles continues to grow across Northern California, the organization is entering a new phase—one rooted in alignment, transparency, and a unified standard for athlete development.

We sat down with program directors Jenae Leles and Thomas Neal to talk about what’s ahead for 2026 and 2027—and why this next chapter is different.

Q: What is the biggest focus for Firecrackers Leles moving into 2026–2027?

Jenae Leles:

Our biggest focus is alignment. We’re excited to continue building and unifying our brand of Firecrackers Leles within the larger Firecrackers organization under Tony Rico.

What that means is every one of our Leles teams will operate under the same systems—defensively, offensively, and philosophically. We are building consistency across the board.

Thomas Neal:

We’re moving away from the idea of individual teams operating separately. Instead, we’re building one program that moves together. That’s how you create long-term development and real identity.

Q: How will that alignment impact players and coaches?

Jenae:

It creates clarity. Every athlete, no matter their age, will learn the same terminology, the same systems, and the same expectations. That consistency helps players grow faster and prepares them for the next level.

Thomas:

It also strengthens our coaching staff. When everyone is teaching the same defensive systems, offensive approach, and overall philosophy, it eliminates confusion and builds confidence—for both players and coaches.

Q: You’ve also made changes off the field. What’s new for families?

Thomas:

We’ve implemented a fully integrated platform that handles online payments, communication, and team operations. It simplifies everything for families.

Jenae:

And more importantly—it creates transparency. Families can clearly see where their money is going. Every dollar is tied directly to their player, their team, and their experience.

Q: Why is transparency such a priority for your program?

Jenae:

Because we are a true nonprofit organization. We operate as a 501(c)(3), and that comes with responsibility. Families should feel confident that their investment is going directly into player development.

Thomas:

We also support opportunities like matching and community support. This isn’t just about running teams—it’s about creating access and doing things the right way for families.

Q: What separates Firecrackers Leles from other programs?

Jenae:

We’re building more than teams—we’re building a system. A system that develops athletes the right way, with consistency, accountability, and purpose.

Thomas:

And relationships still matter most. We’ve built this program on trust, and that’s not changing. Families know we’re invested in their athletes long-term.

Q: What is your long-term vision for the organization?

Jenae:

Our goal is to develop complete athletes—on and off the field. That means skill development, confidence, leadership, and preparation for college and beyond.

Thomas:

And to do that at scale while maintaining the standard. We want every athlete in Firecrackers Leles to feel like they are part of something bigger.
